In among its 2023 model year updates, BMW Motorrad is launching the R 1250 GS Trophy and GS Trophy Adventure to help get your journeys off on the right foot. Since it’s a new year, the 40 Years BMW R1250 GS ADVENTURE: Base price $20,345. This is the more dirt focused of the BMW GS 1250 line. The GS Adventure 1250 has the 136-horsepower Boxer engine that’s a twin-cam, liquid-cooled 6-speeder fit with a BMW ShiftCam variable camshaft control system and full LED lighting.

The R 1300 GS motor is the most oversquare Boxer engine yet, with a massive 106.5mm bore (up from the 1250’s 102.5mm pistons) mated to a shorter 73mm stroke (down from the 1250’s 76mm, funnily enough back to the same stroke as the old 1200 motor). Power and torque figures both represent a healthy increase over the 1250.
